Juvenile Section AGM: Wed 12th January at 8pm. All are welcome.

Minor hurling County league Q/final (2010): Cobh 0-17 Ballygarvan 2-07

Player of the Year and Medal Presentations. At a function held just before Christmas, medals were presented to the Minor hurlers and footballers who won league and championship honours in East Cork in 2010. At the same function, Allen Walley received the Junior Footballer of the Year award, Brian Aherne the Intermediate hurling award and Reamonn Wilson the Junior hurling award. The final award of the evening went to Damien Byrne as Clubman of the Year in recognition of the outstanding contribution he has made, and continues to make, to Cobh Gaa Club.

Presentation of Cheques. In the run up to Christmas, the Gaa Club handed over the money raised from this years sponsored walk to representatives from Friends of Cobh Community Hospital and Friends of Marymount Hospice.  Over the last four years, in association with the Camogie club, we have organised a sponsored walk to raise funds for Marymount Hospice and our local hospital. This years walk was held on August 7th and €1,440 was collected for each of these institutions. This brings our total contribution to the two groups up to just over €12,600 in the last four years. We thank the people of Cobh for continuing to support the club in our own fundraising activities as well as our fundraising for our nominated causes.
