Inaugural Cobh 10 Mile Road Race
The inaugural Great Island 10 mile Road Race will be held on the streets and roads of Cobh and the Great Island on 18th April 2010. Hopefully it will become an un-missable event on the road running race calendar in years to come. All of the proceeds of the Great Island 10 will be going to the Irish Cancer Society.
The Great Island 10 is the brainchild of Roslyn Crotty who has lost her father and sister to cancer in the last two years.
As well as the 10 mile run, there will also be a 5 km walk for people who wish to support the Irish Cancer Society. Sponsorship cards are available for anyone wishing to raise funds for the charity.
A perpetual cup and a cash prize will be presented to the winner of the 10 mile Road Race. Entry forms may be downloaded from the website: – www.greatisland10.com.
