Cobh Hockey Notes
The new season started off on Sept 26th with 2 home games for the Club. Div 4 took on Limerick and unfortunately were on the wrong side of a 2-1 scoreline. Limerick scored 1st not long into the 2nd half but this seemed to spur Cobh on. They equalised when Emma Mackey put a short corner away with a great shot. Lim had a… short corner with a few mins to go which they put away and Cobh were unable to come back from this.
Div 6 took on Dungarvan and here it was Cobh who struck first when Claire Stack put away a short corner to put them in the lead. The second half started with Cobh still 1-0 ahead and from the hit off they nearly made it 2-0 but Lisa Harris’s shot was saved. Both teams put some nice moves together but Cobh finished out …the stronger to take full points. Player of the Match was Clodagh Feehan.
