On Wednesday 29th September, John McCarthy and the Rebel Riders MCC will present a cheque of €12,440 to Marymount Hospice at the High Chapperal, Ballymore. The completed total is made up from several fundraising campaigns and collections made by the club including those at Garvey’s SuperValu Cobh, the BBQ held at Cronin’s Crosshaven and of course the Rebel Riders Annual Bike Run. On the night at the High Chapperal there will be music from young band Electrick Blue who will play in Cobh for the first time with their mixture of 80,s and 90’s chart music.
Speaking to Cobh Edition, John McCarthy of the Rebel Riders said ”We’re absolutely delighted that we were able to raise sunch a large amount of money for such a worthy cause as Marymount Hospice. We would sincerely like to thank all who have assisted the fundraising events in any way. We’re hoping to have an enjoyable evening at the High Chapp on the 29th and the band Electrick Blue are well worth a listen to. They have also waivered their fee for the evening. Everything gets underway at 9.00pm and we’re hoping for a good turnout from the people of Cobh. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank James & Yvonne Cahill of the High Chapperal”.
