Street Leagues Time Again
The annual, Cobh Credit Union  sponsored, hurling street leagues will be starting off on the first weekend of October. As with last year we have three sections- U12, U9 and U7. The U12 games will be played under lights on Friday nights and the U9 and U7 will games will go ahead on Sunday mornings. Boys & Girls, beginners or experienced players, interested in taking part are asked to fill out an application form and return it asap. Forms are available from team coaches, in the schools or can be downloaded from the Cobh Gaa website www.cobhgaa.com

Results: MFC Cobh 2-08 Carrignavar 0-06. U12 Hurling challenge Cobh 4-09 St. Finbarr’s 3-07. U9 hurling challenge (2 games) Cobh 5-09 Midleton 1-05, Cobh 1-0 Midleton 1-01.

Fixtures: (In Cobh unless stated otherwise)
Sun 12th Sept., MFC v Carrignavar at 12noon in Rathcormac.
Mon 13th U16 FL at home to Kiltha Óg at 7:15pm, top pitch
Mon 13th Intermediate Hurling, Ó Murchú Cup Semi-final away to Barryroe, at 7:30pm
Wed 15th U9 & U10 Hurling challenge at home to Killeagh at 6:30pm, top pitch.
Fri 17th Junior B HL at home to Ballinacurra at 7:30pm, top pitch.

All-Ireland Football Final: All ‘Rebel’ fans note that the All-Ireland football final will be screened in the club pavilion on Sunday 19th September, starting with the minor game at 1:30pm and then the clash of Cork v Down in the Senior final at 3:30pm. All ‘Rebel’ fans are welcome to come along and watch the game in the club. Spot prizes will be given on the day to the best-dressed fan(s).
