On Saturday morning twelve people came to the playground on the Five Foot Way at 10 am to volunteer with the Tidy Towns regular clean up. In the space of three hours the Five Foot Way carpark, Cuskinny Hill, the top of Ballyleary and the laneway at the back of Moore’s place was cleared of litter – forty bags in all. The footpath between Cobh Hospital and Upper Park was swept clean, especially along the magnificent stone walls. Six poles were also painted black on Bishop street.
Clean ups will continue at 6.30 pm on Tuesday nights and at 10 am on Saturday mornings. Meet at the playground at the Five Foot Way or call Ursula on 085 1668271 for more details.
