Cobh Gaa & Camogie Clubs Do their bit for Charity
Presentation of Cheques From Sponsored Walk to Marymount Hospice and Cobh Community Hospital At half-time of the U12 Street League Final, the Cobh Gaa and Camogie Clubs handed over the money raised from this years sponsored walk to representatives from Friends of Cobh Community Hospital and Friends of Marymount Hospice. Over the last three years the Gaa & Camogie clubs have organised a sponsored walk to raise funds for Marymount Hospice and our local hospital. This years walk was held on August 8th and we managed to collect €1,300 each for Marymount and Cobh Community Hospital. This brings our total contribution to the two groups up to just over €5,000 each in the last three years. The money was presented by members of this years successful U14, U16 and minor hurling teams who were given a warm round of applause by spectators.
