This was a great opener to the season for Springfield Ramblers Under 11 Division 2 team against a strong Passage side. There were two great goals from Sean O’Reilly and a superb hat-trick scored by Raymond Roche. Steven Burke in goal had a great game as had the defence in front of him. Ballincollig 0 Cobh Ramblers 1

Cobh Ramblers Under 16 Premier League team opened their new league campaign with a valuable away win at Regional Park, Ballincollig. Cobh Ramblers dominated possession throughout the first half but had only one goal to show for their efforts at the break. The goal came from a great move which was started and finished by Dave Cahill. Receiving the ball in the midfield area he passed to right back Adam Thompson who made ground down the wing before delivering a great cross in to the penalty area. Cahill had continued his run and he killed the cross with a great first touch before rifling the ball in off the foot of the post to give the Ballincollig goalkeeper no chance.

Though Ramblers enjoyed the majority of the possession in the second half they failed to increase their lead. Any inroads made by Ballincollig were ably dealt with by the back four of man of the match Adam Thompson, Brendán Frahill, Marc Wyatt and Paul Ronan.
