Cobh Golf Club’s Official Opening Day
Cobh Golf Club’s Official Opening Day on 26th July with even more celebrity attraction: Hurler Sean Og O’ hAilpin and Cork GAA Football Stars Colin Corkery, Dinny Allen and Billy Morgan will attend the celebrations!
The Official Opening Day of Cobh Golf Club’s new Marino Course, which is held in association with Port of Cork, promises to be a delightful event for all sports enthusiasts. The Irish Open Champion Shane Lowry will attend and officially open the course after an 8 hole demonstration game. But also Gaelic footballers and hurlers will enjoy the day, as they can watch some of the greatest Cork footballers in action on the course. A ‘Celebrity Team’ with GAA football stars Colin Corkery, Dinny Allen and Billy Morgan will tee off right behind Shane Lowry, and iconic hurler Sean Og O’hAilpin will be attending celebrations on the grounds, but off the golf course.
The Golf Club has put together a huge programme including golf and family competitions, music (with 96fm broadcast from the grounds between ca 11am and 2pm), entertainment, exhibitions and barbecue. Ticket fee includes entrance and food, and tickets are priced at reasonable ’10 for adults, ‘5 for students (over 10 years of age), and free entrance for the younger ones. Family tickets will be sold at a modest ’25. Definitely a day for the family calendar!
