The people of Cobh need a general election to secure the towns future. Cobh is a town which seem to be forgotten about. We have ongoing situation regarding haulbowline, the uncertainty over the future regarding Cobh community hospital and now the decision to move the proceeding from the court house in Cobh. I have been informed that the court service will be moved to Middleton court house from the end of the month. There are many family court issues that are dealt with in the court office in Cobh and this will cause hardship in what is a difficult time for those dealing with those sensitive issues.
Cobh is one of the largest towns in this country but this government is determined to downgrade our town to a village in the west of Ireland. The people of Cobh should pray for an election before we are left with nothing in our town.
