JUNIOR A RESULT: Riverstown 1-2 Cobh Wanderers

The junior A team had a good win over Riverstown A in the league this morning in Glanmire. A quick fire double from Luke Stavrianos in the 42nd and 44th minutes was enough to take all three points despite the home side halving the deficit in the 77th minute. Stav was denied a two and a half minute hat-trick when his neat finish was ruled out for offside.
Wanderers started the game with three brothers Chris, Sean and Joe Moynihan at numbers 7, 8 and 9. Michael Walsh had a solid performance in the Wanderers goal, while Farrell O’ Connor was flawless at left-full. Cillian Tallon put in a super energetic display in the middle of the park and Ian Barret was resolute alongside Paul Ronan at the centre of the defence.
Squad: Michael Walsh, James Langan, Farrell O’ Connor, Ian Barrett, Paul Ronan, Cillian Tallon, Chrin Moynihan, Sean Moynihan, Joe Moynihan, Luke Stavrianos, Dave Cummins, Butch Fingleton, Robson Mugabe, Aido O’ Hanlon, Peter O’ Halloran
