After last weekends heavy defeat at the hands of UCD, Cobh Ramblers make the long journey to Westmeath to face bottom placed Athlone Town this coming Friday night 18th September.
Whilst Ramblers have had a good run of results with 17 points racked up to date, Athlone find themselves without a single league win in eleven games accumulating in a total of three points, from draws against Galway, Drogheda and Cabinteely. They’ve also conceded the sum total of 30 goals whereas goals scored for both sides stand equal at 13 a piece.
The stats certainly favour Stuart Ashton’s side as the last eight games between the two sides show five wins for Ramblers, one for Athlone and two draws. Always an interesting fixture!
