Cobh Library is closed until further notice.

CORAL LEISURE COBH closed until further notice. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Cobh & Harbour Chamber & Cobh Tourist Office Close Until Mar 29th
Cobh & Harbour Chamber together with the Cobh Tourist office will be closed until 29th March due to the Covid-19 virus. The office staff will be available by email or telephone to answer any queries. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Schools will close from Friday 13th March with teaching to be done online where possible. The measures will remain in place until the 29th of March.

Please note that in the interest of public safety and given the recent outbreak of COVID19, ALL social events in the clubhouse have been postponed, with immediate effect, until March 29th

We apologise for any inconvenience at this time but the health and well-being of our town is paramount!

Cobh St.Patrick’s Day Parade – CANCELLED

Cobh Family Resource Centre
Due to the latest COVID-19 announcements Cobh FRC will close from 6pm this evening. The whole centre, including our childcare services, will be closed to the public until March 29th. Thank you for your understanding.


Cork Schoolboys Football
The Schoolboys Football Association of Ireland is instructing all SFAI affiliated schoolboy leagues to suspend all football activities with immediate effect until further notice.


Sonia O’Sullivan Cobh 10 Road Race
Ballymore Cobh A.C. – Adults Section and the Sonia O’Sullivan Race committee regret to announce that the ‘2020 Sonia O’Sullivan Cobh 10 mile road race’ scheduled for Sunday 5th April will not go ahead at this time.

We have been carefully monitoring recent events and as you can imagine and we take the health of event participants, spectators, stewards and our own club members and our town we have decided on this course of action.

In the coming week we will discuss re-scheduling options.

We ask for you to be patient with us at this time as we have a lot to sort out and we would like to thank all participants along with our sponsors, volunteers and club members for all the hard work and support in organising the race to date.


Sirius Arts Centre
Due to the public health measures put in place today, Sirius Arts Centre will be closed until at least 29th March. Unfortunately this means that we need to cancel all programming during this period. We thank you for your understanding and support.


Titanic Experience Cobh
Due to recent government directive to close all Museums, Galleries, and Tourist Sites, we here at Titanic Experience Cobh and Tregan Craft Centre, will close today at 6pm.

Our aim is to reopen on Monday 30th March. We appreciate your support and understanding at this time and would like to apologise to anyone inconvenienced, your safety is always our number one priority. Anyone booked in during this period will be contacted in the next day or so.

Strictly Dancing Cobh
In the interest of public health & safety we have taken the tough decision to postpone Strictly Cobh Dancing, we will be announcing a new date very soon.

Please note this decision was not taken lightly however, we have to take the safety aspect of our town and surroundings seriously.

Please note all tickets already bought are valid for our new date.


Rushbrooke Rowing Club
Due to the current climate and the announcement made this morning to close schools and colleges, we have decided to cease all club activities until the 29th March. This includes training, competitions and fundraisers.

Cork Opera House
Following the directives issued by the government and health authorities, Cork Opera House will close from 6pm today until Monday 30 March. All events scheduled to take place in this period, including tonight’s performance of Leo Sayer, will be cancelled.
We will endeavour to contact all of the affected patrons and will be in touch with more information regarding show rescheduling and / or refunds as soon as possible.

In view of the current health concerns with Covid 19 we have decided to postpone the Trad Sail lecture on March 19th. We will hopefully schedule for a summer time date


Cobh GAA Bingo
Under the recommendation from the government regarding indoor gatherings of 100 people or more, we have to unfortunately cancel Sunday evening bingo at Cobh GAA until Sunday 29th March. We will update if there are any other changes to this.

Please pass the word around to anyone who doesn’t have access to social media.

Stay safe and hopefully we will see you on the 29th. As a community, hopefully we can pull together and help each other in anyway that we can.


Cobh Red Cross
With the current climate we are in and with schools and colleges closing I have decided to cancels all youth training and activities until further notice in line with the recent announcement from the government. I will reassess the situation after the 2 weeks but we will NOT be training until further notice.
The health of our members is of the upmost importance.

I will be issuing a text later on.

Sinéad Sheppard’s School of Dance
Due to recent developments and government directive to close all schools, colleges, play schools etc, we here at the school feel that as we deal with large groups of young students we too will close for a 2 week period, effective immediately.
Our students, staff and families health will always be our main priority.

Our aim would be to reopen on Monday 30th March, should the government announce it is safe to do so and work through the original two week Easter holiday break, we will ensure that all missed classes during the enforced closure are made up.
Should the government recommend us remaining closed for a further period, we will extend our third term from May until the end of June.

We appreciate your support and understanding at this time.

The decision to cancel / postpone these events has not been taken lightly. They provide a vital revenue stream for this parish and their cancellation / postponement will place the parish in financial difficulty.

However, the welfare and health of our community is our primary concern at this moment. All in Cobh & Glanmire Union of Parishes continue to hold all health workers, those infected with Covid-19 / Coronavirus, and those in positions of responsibility for public health in our prayers at this difficult time.
