The Cork International Hotel has launched “Family Date Night” to encourage families to ‘put the phone away’ and enjoy some ‘us time’. The hotel is also running a monthly competition for a free family date night asking people for their ‘favourite family moments’.
The hotel has launched a new “family date night” experience and has placed ‘phone boxes’ on each table. The idea is that parents and children place their phones in the boxes and enjoy chatting and playing games, which will be provided by the hotel. The package is available every Friday and Saturday evening and during midterm break and school holidays.
General Manager at the Cork International Hotel, Carmel Lonergan said: “When we think about breaks away we think about adult time. But when you have a family, there are other factors to think about. We wanted to celebrate family moments at the Cork International Hotel and for that reason we have launched #familydatenight.”
The Cork International Hotel is running a Family Date Night package which includes a two Course Early Bird Menu (5-7pm), access to the Aviators Play Room and a movie at 7.30pm in Cinema Room. This package is €50 per Family of two adults and two children.
“We want families to start new traditions by celebrating a family date night. No need for a babysitter, bring the kids along. You could also relax overnight in our luxurious rooms as an extra treat. Our child-friendly hotel creates a fun environment for the whole family so you can enjoy a family holiday at home in a luxury hotel. Our spacious, yet cosy, family-friendly rooms are perfect for your stay. Rooms cater for up to four people and include free Wi-Fi, an en-suite bathroom and a flat-screen TV. Our new Yorker Bar & Restaurant offers fantastic food and drinks with options for all dietary requirements as well as a dedicated children’s menu for even the fussiest of eaters,” added Carmel.
