Fota House Summer Music Series

Fota House is delighted to announce the launch of its Summer Concert Series.
The season kicks off on Sunday 12th May with Cappella Lyrica an equal-voice award winning choir from the full-time Music, Pop and Drama programmes at the CIT Cork School of Music. We are excited to welcome Capella Lyrica back on the 12th May for an afternoon recital.
Why not come down to Fota House & Gardens for brunch or a picnic and afterwards join us at 3pm for an hour of sublime music in our magnificent Drawing Room!
This concert is perfect for music lovers and families alike. Adults €9, child €6, family (2+2) €25.
Second in our summer programme is the fabulous Irish/Australian cellist Ilse de Ziah who plays in our stunning Drawing Room on Friday 24th May at 7.30pm.
Ilse de Ziah returns to Fota, to share her own repertoire. Regular Fota visitors will know Ilse as the conductor of the Cork Light Orchestra. Using traditional Irish melodies as source material, Ilse creates contemporary arrangements perfectly suited for the cello. With the marriage of classical detail and folkloric tradition, this makes for a transcendent musical experience. You can expect to enjoy a concert of Irish, Australian, and Celtic influenced music played by an accomplished cellist with inspiring depth and vivacity.
Join us for a wonderful evening of music with a complimentary glass of wine. Tickets €20 including parking.
Further events in the Summer Music Series will be announced shortly.
Venue: Fota House, Carrigtwohill.
