Second of seven regional stops following stint in Sligo
As the road to UEFA EURO 2020 begins for Mick McCarthy’s side later this month, the EURO 2020 National Football Exhibition will visit Cork in the build up to the landmark 60th UEFA European Championship Finals.
The Exhibition, which has attractions for all ages welcomed a wide variety of visitors during its time in Sligo including schools, local clubs and the Vancouver Whitecaps Under-17 Men’s Team ahead of their friendly match with Sligo Rovers.
Visitors strolled down memory lane in Sligo City Hall with the local memorabilia donated by the Sligo Rovers Heritage Group and Connaught Football Association proving particularly popular.
The interactive screens show some of our finest moments both at senior and underage level while the recording booth continues to prove a highlight for most. Zone 6 provides some great information about the tournament’s history with the bid book from the Dublin Local Organising Committee proudly on display.
St. Peter’s Cork located on North Main Street and just a short walk from the Grand Parade will provide the setting for the Exhibition which is free of charge. The exhibition should be a real hit as it is in place ahead of the St. Patrick’s Day festivities in the Rebel County.
Feel free to roam around and discover every part of the Exhibition, or download the National Football Exhibition App and pick up a pair of free headphones at the venue to listen to the audio tour.
The Exhibition will be open to the public from Saturday, March 9 until Sunday, March 24.
