Thanks to everyone who came out to our “Respect the Water” gathering on Sunday. As sailors and kayakers we all have an important role in ensuring we all respect the water and plan and prepare for activites on the water in a safe and responsible manner. We all want to enjoy the water, but we also have to recognise that things can go wrong.
Always wear a lifejacket or buoyancy aid. Always let someone on shore know when and where you are going and when you expect to be back. Always carry a means of calling for help. Please take time to visit https://www.respectthewater.com/ to find out more
Our local Crosshaven Lifeboat had a another busy weekend on the water. The RNLI is a voluntary oranisation and depends on our support – please vist https://rnli.org/ to find out more about what they do and how you can help.
We can also do a lot to spread the word
