Today Fota Island Adventures launched their 2018 Summer Schedule for both adults and children with their water sports and summer camps booking engine going live online. Hidden in the woods along the shoreline of Fota Island, part of the natural surroundings of Fota Island Resort, Fota Island Adventure is the perfect setting for a day packed full of excitement.
The award winning team at Fota Island Adventure are a unique set of individuals, with defined skill sets who have combined their talents to create an extraordinary summer camp. They moved from Spike Island to Fota Island last year to accommodate their expansion and it has worked a treat. Their summer camps are entirely outdoors, with the woods in the five star Fota resort providing shelter during the wetter days. The weeklong camp includes water sports (kayaking, canoeing and SUPing), bush craft, survival skills, archery, Kombat archery, Battle Royale (“Fortnight” inspired woodland nerf game), world famous obstacle course, field games, orienteering, ECO trails and find the sniper (hide and seek military style).
“Had an amazing time at Fota Island Adventure last week – booked in for the family adventure session – kids had a blast, being put through their army paces by Terry. He’s a top guy, inspiring and engaging for children. First it was secret sniper (hide and seek in the woods – we couldn’t find the kids), then Combat Archery – us v the kids, introduction to fire starting which was captivating followed by the challenging military obstacle course. It’s tough, muddy and wet so be prepared. Our two just loved it. Terry was top class, passionate, knowledgeable, personable and really ensured we had a good time. They really offer a lot there and we cannot recommend this place highly enough!” – Howard Lister, West Yorkshire
Summer camps run Mon – Fri; 10am – 3pm from July 2nd to Aug 31th.
Age from 7 to 17.
Cost of €130 per week or €50 for a day camp
Location is Fota Island Resort, Fota Island, Cork
