FREE Talk “Internet Safety For Everyone”
We are delighted to announce that a FREE Talk “Internet Safety For Everyone” will take place on Thursday 5th April 6.30pm at The Commodore Hotel, Cobh (finishing approx. 8.00pm). Avril Ronan from Trend Micro will deliver this talk, and as Trend Micro are the largest independent cloud security company in the world, we will be in the hands of experts in online security!
This talk is based on being both responsible & safe online, it is suitable for EVERYONE and areas covered include:
1. Useful information about the internet, devices, social networking, gaming.
2. Explanations and practical advice on privacy, safety, security, cyber-bullying

Breaking The Silence are partnering with Cobh Lions Club to bring this supportive event to Cobh. As you may be aware we specialise in Suicide Prevention Training and people experiencing distress due to the internet is definitely increasing. Cobh Lions Club are very proactive across all areas of wellbeing, and this initative in particular echoes the work they actively drive in their many anti-bullying campaigns and wellbeing initiatives.
Trend Micro have delivered this talk to 1million+ parents globally to date (including 130,000+ in Ireland). This is a unique opportunity to identify the key risks of being online and most importantly what you can do to minimize this risk. We hope to see you on the night!
