Pitch-side Hoardings
We are currently looking for businesses to take up the opportunity to advertise on aluminum hoardings around our main pitch in the Paddocks (new hoarding signs will be 8ft x 2ft). We will design and make your hoarding, ensuring that your advert will be in best available place. This advertising hoarding costs €300 for the initial year and €150 thereafter for every other year.
There are no additional fees in any time period. So for just over €2.50 a week you will secure a prime advertising position in a busy Cobh Pirates RFC. As a Club run by volunteers, we rely on the support of our community and we would be very appreciative of your support. Please contact Eithne on 086 239 8670 for more info.
Children’s Welfare Officer
Roisin Burke agreed to continue working as the Children’s Welfare Officer in the Club along with Liam Hughes, the Youth Officer. Over the course of the year we will be putting together information packs for coaches and parents to cover the very important aspects of Child welfare while in the care of Cobh Pirates RFC. Information will be shared by email and through the club notice boards in time and will cover aspects such as:
– The clubs commitment to safeguarding children
– E vetting of coaches – now online through the IRFU Clubhouse Portal
– Club Policy with regard to Bullying, Substance Abuse, Photography and mobile phones, Volunteers and supervision, travelling with children to away matches, codes of conduct etc.
This is a very important role within the club and we would ask coaches, parents and committee members to help the Welfare Officers as they implement these policies into the club.
Clubhouse Bookings
The Club benefits from an excellent and vibrant atmosphere within our Clubhouse with direct access to a patio area with seating, coupled with a grassed area for kids bouncy castles / fun n’ games.
Our facilities are ideal for all sorts of functions including Christenings, Communions, Confirmations, Birthday Parties, Weddings, Funerals and team building days.
If you are holding a function why not consider using your own Clubhouse, you won’t regret it!
Call Sharon on 087 267 7961 or on Facebook: Paddocks Bar Newtown
Call anytime to discuss your event requirements and arrange to see the facilities.
