Cobh Camogie Club News
The top GAA field was alive with activity on Sunday morning March 6th when the under 8 to under 12 camogie players recommenced training for the 2016 season. Despite the poor weather it was great to see so many players back from last year as well as alot of new players. It was also good to see the older players helping out with the coaching of the younger girls. The club has grown from strength to strength since being reestablished in 2008 and now has a club membership of nearly 200 people. The u13 to adult level teams have been back training for the past couple of months and with league matches due to start over the next few weeks the 2016 season looks set to be a very enjoyable and successful one for the club.
Congratulations to our players who have been selected recently to represent East Cork on the Imokilly Squads: U12 Abbie Mackessy, Hannah Hurley; U14 Amy Kennedy, Jade O’Donovan, Rebecca Cashman and U16 Rebecca Crotty, Kate Maher, Chloe Cashman, Cliona Ring, Tara Looney and Ellie May O’Sullivan. We always welcome new players so if you are interested in playing camogie please contact Lorraine on 0861605314
