We are delighted to announce that following the amazing U2 Innocence and Experience Tour, local band U2OPIA will play a benefit concert in aid of Breaking the Silence at Cobh’s Commodore Hotel on New Year’s Day!
With doors opening from 8pm you will be treated to U2’s greatest hits including special guest “The Burma”. Tickets are priced at €10 and are available from The Commodore Hotel, Cobh and The Healthier Smoker Store, Pearse Square, Cobh.
RedFM are the chosen radio partner for what promises to be a fantastic event. The station has previously partnered with this talented group of musicians in promoting awareness of many great causes. Staff at the station also completed Safe Talk Training (Suicide Alertness for Everybody) with Breaking The Silence in 2011 and the voluntary group featured as part of RedFM’s “Mind Your Mates” Campaign.
Locally further information on this event will be available on facebook pages “Breaking The Silence Cobh” and “Cobh Edition” plus in the local newsletters. Our thanks in advance to the local media for promoting this event and for their ongoing support.
