May 22nd last was a night to remember as Cobh GAA hosted The Kube in the Radisson Blu Hotel and Spa, Little Island. Reveller’s both young and old took part in the festivities with some taking to dancing on the chairs to the YMCA during the interval and others brandishing “Good Luck” banners for there chosen contestant! The craic was mighty and the competition was fierce!
Brendan Meaney took the first prize with Liam Greaney coming second, John Kidney came third and Chloe Smith put on an epic show for the ladies coming fourth with Terry Anderson coming fifth. All contestants put up a great battle to beat the Kube but there could only be one winner on the night and that was Brendan Meaney who walked away with a cheque for €1,000. Congratulations Brendan!
Cork Hurlers Luke O’Farrell and Connor Lehane were present on the night despite there busy schedules and couldn’t resist to battle it out against each other in The Kube. Connor Lehane took first with Luke O’Farrell coming second. We thank them for giving their time so generously.
The children had a great time and all in all it made for a great family event and one we at Cobh GAA are very proud of. We would like to thank our main Sponsor Eamon Crotty of Acorn Life and to all the other sponsors who came on board to support us.
A big thank you to Keith Mooney with Fundraising Events Group who done a fantastic job on the night, we couldn’t have done it without you. A very well done to our organising committee who put a lot of time and effort into The Kube Event , it certainly showed on the night and the crowd were delighted with the results! Lastly, thank you to all our fantastic contestants and families who came on the night, your support is very much appreciated.
Go raibh mile maith agat.
