Munster Junior League Cobh Pirates 87 Kinsale 5
Pirates had a very easy win against Kinsale in a totally one-sided game that ended up as a practise-run for the home team. From the start Pirates controlled the run of play, dominating in all aspects of the game. They were in control in the scrums including the Kinsale put-ins. They turned over a lot of Kinsale ball in the rucks and were constantly breaking their line. Pirates scored thirteen tries, converting eleven of them – must surely be a record for Pirates if not for the Munster Junior League. There was no pleasure watching the game, it was so one-sided. In spite of the big win, Pirates still have to wait for other results over the next few weeks to see how the season ends up for them.
J 2 Cup Quarter- Final
Pirates second team beat Carrick-on-Suir 21- 20. Glen O’Sullivan and Jack Barrett got tries for Cobh and Adam Devlin got one conversion and three penalties.
Next Sunday at the Paddocks at 2.30 pm, Munster Junior Cup Quarter-Final: Cobh Pirates v Highfield
