Summer Computer Camps 2014

computerIf your children love computers and gadgets then they will certainly enjoy taking part in the Summer Computers Camps offered by Niamh Barrett Computers. Over 2000 children have participated in the camps over the past few years and the camps which are now in their 15th year are more popular than ever. This year the camps are on offer in 15 venues throughout Cork, Kerry and Tipperary including Cobh.

In Cobh the camp will be held on the week beginning 11 August from 10.00am – 12.30pm each day.

The multi activity technology camps are for children ages 7 – 13 years. At the camps as well as learning the basics children will create multimedia slide shows, movies and design and print their own T-Shirts, Mugs and DVD Covers. They will also learn to design and create their own computer games including characters, backgrounds and sounds.

Coding has become very popular in the last few years and children will have an opportunity to learn basic coding, computer programming and web design. As well as these fun filled activities, children will also learn how to stay safe online. On the camp, your child will use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Scratch, HTML, CSS, Microsoft Movie Maker, ITunes, Windows Media Player, and lots more.

All the equipment and materials is supplied by Niamh Barrett Computers and each child will have a Laptop, IPAD, Computer or Raspberry PI using the very latest technology.

There will also be lots of new activities for children who have been on the camps before.

The camps is for 5 mornings cost only €99.
