GREAT WIN FOR THE U12 FOOTBALLERS AGAINST NEMO

The game of the season so far for this U12 team who looked dead & buried after the opening 10 minutes, which saw Nemo outplay the Cobh lads all over the field and establish a 3-02 to 0-01 lead. which could have been worse only for some inaccurate kicking on behalf of the Nemo forwards. Following a couple of positional changes, the Cobh lads created a goal which spurred them into action and with some great team play and a high workrate they found themselves in front at the halftime whistle, leading 4-03 to 3-04. With the Nemo lads perplexed and on the back foot, visible in their body language, the Cobh boys upped it again, enjoying their football and putting some well worked scores on the board, stretching their lead 5-09 to 4-06 midway through the second half. Nemo rallied again, securing another goal with about 6 minutes left on the clock but Cobh responded with some resilient defending and working the ball through the field over the next few minutes they managed another 3 points without reply, 5-12 to 5-06 with a couple of minutes left on the clock. Two more points secured for Cobh to the single one by Nemo saw the end of a superb game of football on a perfect sunny evening. Credit to everyone of the 15 lads who were out on their feet at the end but on a high from a richly deserved win.

Well done to the Cobh lads who beat the home side on a scoreline of 5-14 to 5-07 in the Central C3 Football League game.?
