CobhFilm Hub Recruitment and Training Opportunities – March 2014

cobhyoutserviceslogo2Cobh Film Hub is a community film making resource that aims to promote film making and develop film making skills on the Great Island. Since its inception last year a number of short independent films have been made and numerous people have become involved in the film making process, some for the first time, others as an ongoing interest.

An opportunity to become a member of the Film Hub (annual fee €10) in time to avail of upcoming training, will be occur on Monday 24th March at the Cobh Youth Services building at Top of The Hill, from 6pm. New members are very welcome to join on the night where an overview of training opportunities will be discussed. Detailed below are the areas of training that the Hub will be providing over the coming months.

Training will be provided to cover
Camera
Lighting
Scriptwriting and Storyboarding – to include writing for fiction and documentaries and writing of a script to shoot as part of training (see below)
Sound
Camera, crewing and shooting practice – may include the shooting of a film that will be created in the scriptwriting training
Editing – use of software, may be delivered off site (i.e. out of Cobh)
Animation

If there is any area of film making that has not listed above, please let us know as it can probably be incorporated into the training programme

The planning event on 24th March will influence the scheduling of the training so those with an interest are encouraged to attend if possible.
