Cobh Tourism Seek Further Ambassadors
Cobh Tourism Ambassadors have been welcoming, greeting and giving invaluable local information to visitors to Cobh since 2011. This volunteer programme was devised and is administered by Cobh Tourism Ltd. Over thirty people of all ages committed 2 hours a week of their time and signed up to be volunteer Ambassadors throughout the past two tourist seasons.
The Ambassadors are instantly recognisable in their bright green vests emblazoned with a large “Ask Me?” and provide a warm welcome for visitors, provide reliable information and convey a pride in all of our town´s history, traditions and achievements. Apart from being roving tourist guides that provide tourists with invaluable local information on things to see and do, guided tours to partake in, attractions to visit, places to eat, drink and shop in they also take the time to chat to visitors and provide the welcome and friendliness that Ireland and indeed Cobh is renowned for.
Further Ambassadors are needed for the coming season. Training for the role will be provided on Sunday 21st April 2013 at 2 pm. Please contact Ursula Duffy on 085 1668271 for further information and to book your place.
