New Arrival: Congratulations to Brendan & Linda Meaney on the safe arrival of baby Jack last week.
Results: JFL Cobh 0-15 Russell Rvrs 0-06. MFL Cobh 2-15 St. Finbarrs 1-07. Cobh lost out to C’twohill in the first round of the U10 Decky Guckian hurling lge but balanced this result out with a good win over Russell Rvrs in the second round. U14 F league Cobh 4-11 Glenville 4-15- This was the first game of the year and the lads gave a good team performance against last years beaten finalists. The goals came from Liam Harte, Evan Geasley, Chris Lynch, and William Ireland, while Adam Devlin, Mark Hayes, Keith Donnachie and Glen O’Sullivan also played well. The Intermediate hurlers lost to Fermoy 2-16 to 2-10 in the first round of the hurling league.
Fixtures: All in Cobh: Mon 15th at 7pm, U16F v Killeagh Itas.
Tues 16th : at 6.40pm U14 hurling challenge; at 8pm MFL v C’navar.
Mon 22nd, U16F v Glanmire.
Fundraising: Members of Cobh Gaa will be on the streets and in the shops of the town next weekend as we hold our annual street collection and bag packing. Thanks in advance to the people of Cobh for any support you may be able to give. All money raised goes to providing the best possible playing facilities for the Gaa players in Cobh, boys and girls, young and old.
Underage training: To enquire about training either, email cobhgaa@hotmail.com, log on to the Cobh Gaa website (Juvenile section) to see the full training schedule or call/text the club phone on 086 3099942. New players welcome at all age groups. Juvenile players will again take part in this year’s St. Patrick’s Day parade. All are asked to assemble at the bottom of East Hill by 3pm on the day.
Camogie Training: Training for girls born on/after 2002 at 11am, on Saturdays, in the top pitch (next to the Watertower). New players are welcome to come along and join in. Contact Lorraine 0861605314 with any queries.
Date for the diary: This years’ Gaa summer camp (Cúl Camp) will run from 5th July to 9th July. Further details later.
