Umbro 11 Group 1

Corinthian Boys 3 Springfield Ramblers 0

The team paid the price of getting off to a slow start conceding two very soft first half goals. The lads certainly upped the tempo and were a much better team in the second half. As we pushed on for goal we left ourselves exposed at the back & had to rely on Keeper Jamie Bates to make 3 great saves. The lads were very disappointed when a poor offside decision by the ref allowed Corinthians in for a third goal. Well done to the lads on a very spirited second half performance.

Umbro 11 Group 2

Springfield Ramblers A 2 Everton 3

Springfield Ramblers were very unlucky to lose out in this close game where a number of our players had to play in new positions for them due to a few players missing. After going 2 goals down early in the game as the players adjusted, David Forlarin capitalized on a quick free kick to pull 1 back before half-time.

In the second half we went close a number of times before conceding a third goal. Eoin Kelly got a second for us but we couldn’t get the equalizer.
