Last Saturday our under 13 football team had there first league match.Conditions on the day were very inclement to say the least.Youghal started the game with 13 players and we were able to build up an early lead with scores from Eoghan Meaney,Dylan Higgins,Ciaran Leahy,Andrew Powell and Jamie Hamilton.This was backed up in the first half by good displays by Aaron Dolan, Louis Kahn and Pa Carey. The half time score was Youghal 0 1 Cobh 4 3.The second half saw the introduction of 5 players.These included Luke Ryan, Olan Mackey, Olan Farrell, Shane Kidney and Jack O’Donovan. Other notable performances on the day came from Sean Hayes,George Keating,Dan Sheehan,Nikoli Wilke (CAPT), Eoin Conroy in goals and Jack McCarthy.
The game also saw a fine point scored from Odhran Kidney Power who normally plays full back.The management of the team would like to thank the parents for their support.
