Cobh GAA Notes 11th Dec

Santa Visit: On Sunday last (11th Dec) the U9, U8, U7 and U6 hurlers along with the youngest of the camogie players attended the presentation of Certificates at the Gaa Club. All the players, coaches, and parents were congratulated on a very busy and successful year and following the presentation by Gaa Juvenile secretary, Nick O’Callaghan and Camogie club chairperson, Mairéad Kearney, all the players visited  Santa Claus and his helpers where they all received a little gift to get the Christmas season up and running.

 

Medal Presentation: Friday 9th December saw the members of the U13 hurling, U16 camogie and minor football teams receive their medals following their successes during the year. Well done to all involved with these teams and thank you to the organisers of what turned out to be a very enjoyable night.

Adult Club AGM: The election of officers saw the following take up their posts for Cobh Gaa in 2012. Chairman: Seán O’Connor, Vice-chairman: John O’Keeffe, Treasurer: Sandra Farrell, Secretary: John Spriggs, Registrar: Brendan Kearney, PRO: Alan Stack. Team management: Junior hurling Brendan Kearney, U21 hurling Eoin Wilson, Junior & U21 Football: Ger Morgan.

Puc Fáda – St. Stephen’s Day  As always!! All are welcome to join in the fun of the Puc Fáda on St. Stephen’s morning. No experience necessary! Entry Fee: €15 per adult and €5 per juvenile. ~ Teams of 3, any mix you want, starting in Ballymore, Sliotars will be provided, but spares may be required! Many team prizes and entertainment in the club pavilion afterwards. (Registration at the club pavilion from 10:30am.)
