Cobh Gaa Notes: 

Scór na bPáistí: On Sunday 14th of February two teams from Cobh participated in the East Cork finals of the Scór na bPáistí competition. In a great performance the music group of, Meadbh Damery, Niamh Damery and Pádí Kearney, came out as winners and now progress to the county semi-final which will be held on the 28th of this month. In the final competition of the day the quiz team of, Calvin McKeown, David O´Connor and Pádi Kearney, finished in a very commendable second place. Well done to all the participants and their parents who gave them wonderful support. A big thank you also to Jenny Ó Loínsigh for her work with the music group and to Mr. Michael Farrell, Principal of St. Joseph´s who came along to support the two groups. 
 
Results: East Cork J.F.L. Div2:  Cobh 2-09 St. Catherine´s 1-07
Intermediate Hurling Challenge: St. Vincent´s 1-12 Cobh 2-09
 
Underage Teams training:  Minors H&F Thursdays at 7:30pm. U15/16 football Monday at 6:30pm. U14 hurling & football Fri at 6pm. U12 Football Monday at 6:30pm  and Friday at 3:15pm. U9&U10 Hurling Friday at 5:30pm. U8 (Boys born 2002) Hurling Sat 9:30am.    All above training takes place in the `Top Field´ (next to the Watertower)
U7&U6 Hurling(Boys born in 2003&2004) 9:45am to 10:45am Indoors in the VEC (Community College) Gym.  Bring a helmet, if possible, and EUR2 to pay for the hire of the hall, indoor hurleys will be provided.   New players welcome at all training.Camogie Training: Training for the U14&U12 teams (girls born in 1996 up to 1999) every Saturday at 11am. Training for the U10 team (girls born 2000 to 2002) at 11:15am, also on Saturdays, in the top pitch (next to the Watertower). New players are welcome to come along and join in. Hurleys and helmets will be provided for beginners  but bring your own if possible. Contact Lorraine 0861605314 with any queries.
