Cobh GAA Notes 18th Sept
Fixtures : Wed.21st Sept. Junior B H C’ship Cobh v Midleton in Rostellan 8.15pm.
U10s Taste Action in Pairc Ui Chaoimh.
On Wednesday last the club had two U10 teams playing in Pairc Ui Chaoimh at the final night of the Feile Spraoi Iomaint leagues. Over the summer the teams were involved in a league series and this was the culmination of the games where each team got to play three matches against teams such as Sars, Midleton, St. Finbarrs, Na Piarsaigh and Glen Rvrs. At the end of the games each player received a medal as a momento of the day. Here’s hoping it won’t be too long before the Cobh jersey makes another appearance at Corks Gaa headquarters.
Street Leagues Time Again
The annual, Cobh Credit Union sponsored, hurling street leagues are back with us again. Games will start on Friday 30th September at 6:30pm for the U12 group and on Sunday 2nd October at 10:30am for the U7s and at 11:30am for the U9s. Please keep a eye on local publications, the Gaa website and Facebook pages and the noticeboards at school for the details of teams and fixtures. Anyone who forgot to submit their form but still wants to play in this years street leagues should contact a member of the juvenile committee or call 0863099942 to be accommodated.
Dancing in Cobh Gaa: Music for September: Dermot Lyons (24th).
