Calling all women! Looking for the perfect excuse to get fit and to raise funds for a local charity? The upcoming 30th Evening Echo Women’s Mini Marathon on 25th September may just be the answer you have been looking for! Breaking The Silence are actively seeking people to participate in this event to raise funds for Suicide Intervention & Prevention Awareness and Training. The event is a four mile road race and participants can walk or jog depending on preference and fitness level. The race will start at 1pm from the City end of Centre Park Road and will take in Centre Park Road, The Marina, Blackrock Village, Ballintemple, Monaghan Road and will finish in Kennedy Park.
An estimated 11,000 ladies are expected to participate in what has become the biggest ladies event outside of Dublin. If you are interested in taking part please email fundraisingbts@gmail.com and please spread the word to anybody you think may be interested.
Breaking The Silence is a local voluntary group that work to help create a Suicide Safer Community by connecting people at risk of Suicide with life preserving resources.
