Cobh Tidy Towns News 7th August

Published

on

This week Tidy Towns volunteers launched our new vests sponsored by Cobh Credit Union. We are very thankful for their continued support and sponsorship. Painting work continued in the Promenade and more flowerbeds were weeded this week.Litter was picked daily from roads in Cobh and the approach roads. If you cannot join us at our designated work times during the week perhaps you could help by looking after an area near where you live and help keep our roads litter free.

On Saturday morning volunteers swept and picked rubbish along Harbour Row,Harbour Hill and around the Cathedral. At the bottom of the Preacher House Steps we discovered 3 bags of rubbish which had been dumped. The steps were in a sorry state with rubbish, weeds and overgrowth which made it difficult to access the steps! After the clean up the area has been restored to a lovely thoroughfare for locals and visitors alike. Please join us on Tuesday at 6.30pm at the Playground by the Five Foot Way to help us continue to make Cobh a real jewel at the heart of the harbour !
