Cobh GAA Notes – 6th August
FAMILY FUN DAY: A big thank you to the over 350 people who turned out for the club Fun Day on July 30th. All the usual craic of the penalty shoot out, long puck, races and face painting were enjoyed by the youngsters, while there was music in the marquee and food provided by the Bramley Lodge mobile van. Thanks to the organisers for again putting on a great day of entertainment for the youth of Cobh and especially to the girls of the Camogie Club for all the help they gave on the day.
Sponsored 5km Walk/Run: Since the sponsored walk was initiated in 2007 the clubs have raised €12,630 for Cobh Community Hospital and Marymount Hospice. All members, supporters and friends of the Gaa & Camogie clubs are again asked to make a special effort to get out and raise much needed funds for our designated charities while also supporting your own club. Walk takes place on Sat 20th Aug.
