East Cork Fixtures Get the Season Started:

C’ship Draws: Junior A Football 1st Rd v losers (Midleton/Lisgoold), J. B Hurling 1st Rd v losers (Cloyne/Midleton), back door in both these competitions in 2010.

U21 B Football v Glenville (starts in April), U21 B Hurling v Youghal.: The Junior football leagues were re-ordered for 2010 with Cobh being placed in division 2 and having 8 league games. The Cobh Minor hurling and football teams have moved up a grade for the new season so they will be playing in the B section of the East Cork leagues and championships.

Fixtures: All  J.F.L. Tues 2nd Feb away to Dungourney at 8pm. Sun 7th Feb away to Bride Rvrs at 11:30am. Sun 14th Feb home to Glanmire at 11:30am. (Some of these fixtures may be subject to change so be sure to check with someone before you make any journey.)

Camogie Training: Training for the U13 & U14 (girls born in 1996/’97/’98) camogie team starts this Saturday (6th Feb)  in the top pitch (next to the Watertower) at 11am. New players are welcome to come along and join in. Contact Lorraine 0861605314 with any queries. Younger girls please note that training for your teams will begin in a couple of weeks!

Dinner Dance Friday, 5th February in Commodore Hotel at 7:30pm. Tickets cost €40 each with significant discounts for unemployed and students and further discounts to minors. Tickets are now available from the club bar or from the members of the dance organising committee, Brendan Meaney, Declan O’Connell, Pat Looney, Martin O’Connor, Seamus Ryan and Vincent O’Rourke. As part of the event the successful minor hurling team of 2009 will be presented with their County and East Cork medals. Music by Bog The Donkey!
