Springfield Ramblers U12 National Cup Quarter Final Tie
Springfield Ramblers v Cherry Orchard (Dublin)
Under 12 National Cup Quarter Final Tie April 3rd 2011
Venue: VEC Grounds Carrignafoy
Next Sunday April 3rd is a very important day in the current Schoolboys Football Season for the Springfield Ramblers Club as our Under 12 Premier League team are taking part in the Quarter Final of the SFAI U12 National Cup Competition. The team has a home tie against Cherry Orchard of Dublin at the VEC Grounds at 2pm.
The team has performed admirably in the games prior to this round with securing wins in very difficult ties in the previous rounds. The boys emerged from the Cork side of the draw with a 5-0 victory over Kilreen. They then beat Avenue United from Clare on a 5-3 score line in the round of 64, had a stunning 3-0 away victory against a very good Salthill Devon side in Galway in the round of 32 and at the last 16 stage they had a 3-1 victory against St Brendan’s Park of Tralee in a tough encounter at home.
The Under 12 team under coaches Steve Quinlan and Eoin O’Sullivan are in a commanding position near the top of the U12 Premier League table. The Club wishes the very best of luck to the young lads in this very important game and we would be very pleased if Cobh football supporters and the general public would come out and offer their support to the boys on Sunday afternoon.
