“An Afternoon Recital of popular classical music”

What better way to spend a dark November Sunday afternoon than to sit in the Drawing Room of Fota House and listen to popular classical music?

On Sunday, 21st November at 3.00 pm, Ruth Healy and friends of Serenade Productions will present such an event.

Ruth who is a mezzo soprano received her musical education at the Cork School of Music and after 25 years serving the parish of Ballinora, Waterfall as organist  and accompanist for various choirs and choral groups has concentrated full time on her passion for Opera Singing.   She is a founder member of Serenade productions and has appeared in various concerts in Munster.   She will be accompanied by Thomas Doyle.

Cork born David O’Sullivan has been teaching music for 30 years. His forte is romantic and classical music in a jazz style and he will showcase his expertise at this Fota House Recital.

The Cantorum and the Killeagh Choir perform a wide variety of musical genres from baroque to classical, sacred, secular and contemporary.   They have featured on RTE Television Religious Services and are also on the Cork Choral Festival highlights CD of 2005.

Sunday lunch will also be served in Fota House Restaurant at 1 p.m. from €11.95 before the Recital.   Booking essential.
