u19L: Fermoy 24-20 Cobh Pirates: After a great performance last week against Mallow, where Pirates won 15-nil; they have to travel to Fermoy this weekend, and very nearly added to the week one league win. Trailing 17-8 coming into the final quater, Pirates worked themselves into a lead going into injury time only to be denied by a late try going down 24-20; Pirates’ try scorers: Mark Dunphy, Noel O’Donovan, John Cotter, with a conv. and pen. from Eoin Geary. Speedy recovery to Eoin who dislocated his shoulder during the game; hope to see you back soon.

u17L: Cobh Pirates 43 – 0 Midleton

The u17s recorded a massive home win over local rivals Midleton. Pirates’ bossed the game from start to finish; never leaving Midleton get into the game. Excellent support play and lines of run from the backline saw a hat-trick from Jack Cahill, with speedy winger Kamil Antemik adding another. Aaron Gilmore & Dillon Sommers added another, with lively out-half, Luke O’Neill having an excellent afternoon from the boot, he added 4 conversions.

Mini Section Leprachaun Rugby continues every Saturday at 11:00am for boys + girls born in 2003, ’04 & ’05; New members very welcome.

Our u8/9s played away to Midleton, winning all games; and our u10/11s played away to Douglas, again coming home with a clean sheet. We encourage new members at all age groups; please come along to the Paddocks at 11:00am every Saturday.

Girls Tag continues every Saturday @ 11am, with the numbers growing !

Thomond Park
Cobh Pirates RFC are delighted to accept an invitation from Munster Rugby to participate in the half-time match at the Magners League Game, Munster v Benetton Treviso, Italy, on October 22nd, KO 19:45, Thomond Park, Limerick. The opposition will be Ennis RFC and the age grade is under 11 (born 2000/’01).
