Have-A-Go Participants

Have-A-Go Day: The juvenile club recently organised two ‘Have-A-Go’ days for children interested in trying out the game of hurling for the first time or returning to the game after an absence. The days were very successful and with schools coach Christy Kidney on hand to guide those who attended all got an opportunity to try out their abilities. Training for the underage teams continues throughout the summer and new players are always welcome to come along. See www.cobhgaa.com for training details.

‘Garvey’s Cobh Community Fund’ All involved with the Gaa and Camogie clubs would like to thank again those who took the time to nominate the Gaa club in the recent fundraising initiative run by Garvey’s Super Valu. The Gaa club received €1000 at the presentation and it has been decided that this money will be used to purchase new sets of goals for the U8, U10 and U12 hurling, football and camogie teams.
