Cobh Ramblers 2-0 Carrigaline United
Ramblers took all 3 pts from this lively encounter played at Pat O’Brien Park.Ramblers were forced to make a number of positional changes to the team due to injuries but the players adjusted quickly led by captain Sinead O’Brien who was an inspiration to her team mates playing in the unfamiliar role of centre back. It was Ramblers who opened the brightest with Elaine Feen’s pace causing the Carrigaline defence problems. A little bit of magic from Ciara Duffy gave Ramblers the lead on the 28th min when she beat three oppontents before unleashing a shot high into the Carrigaline net. With Ramblers midfield generals Orianna Mc Grath and Linda Mc Namara controlling that section of the pitch Carrigaline struggled to create any chances and if they did the very alert Eilish Walsh controlled everything inside her area. In the 38th min Elaine Feen broke into the Carrigaline area with only the keeper to beat she was pulled down and the ref pointed to the spot. Up stepped full back Mary Mc Donnell who cooly drilled the ball into the bottom corner of the Carrigaline net to give Ramblers a half time lead of 2-0. Without scoring any further goals Ramblers controlled the second half and although Carrigaline tried hard they never really troubled the Ramblers defence.

Best for Cobh Ramblers: Lorna Phelan, Linda Mc Namara, Elaine Feen.
Cobh Ramblers: Eilish Walsh, Mary Mc Donnell, Mary Guilfoyle, Sinead O’Brien(Capt), Lorna Phelan, Ciara Duffy, Orianna Mc Grath, Linda Mc Namara, Yvonne Harrington, Jane Allen, Elaine Feen.

Cobh Ramblers 4-1 Ballinhassig
Ramblers took all 3 pts and Elaine Feen took all the plaudits with a hatrick in this entertaining Premier League at St Colman’s Park. Ramblers opened the game in a high tempo and after only 4 mins Ciara Duffy had an effort hit the side netting. In the 7th min Ciara Duffy again beat the full back and sent in a beautiful cross that Elaine Feen cooly slotted into the corner of the net. Ramblers dominated most of the first half and Feen, Duffy, Mc Namara and Allen all had chances to increase the lead but to no avail. However with 4mins to half time, Elaine Feens determination took it past the Ballinhassig defence and again showed her class with a well taken goal. After 14 mins of the second half Ballinhassig scored a soft goal as Ramblers failed to clear the ball from the penalty area. With the score at 2-1 it appeared that Ramblers maybe in trouble but the character of this team shone through and again Elaine Feen had a super effort well saved by the keeper, however the inrushing Ciara Duffy made no mistake as she drilled the ball into the Ballinhassig net. Ramblers however saved the best goal for last. Jane Allen played a beautiful ball to Chloe Smith who raced down the left wing and crossed a super cross for Elaine Feen to rise above the defence and head into the corner of the net. So a good entertaining game ended with a scoreline 4-1 to Ramblers who wont play at home again until June 30th when they entertain Bandon.
