The ‘Titanic’ story retold in over 1800 tweets Apr 1st – 30th

April 15th 2022 marks the 110th anniversary of one of the world’s most calamitous maritime disasters; the sinking of the Titanic, where 1496 people perished.
First started in 2018, Paul Lee’s lauded recreation of the fatal voyage on Twitter has been expanded over the years to cover the whole on April 1912, and now numbers over 1800 tweets, including events on land and on other ships.
From the abortive sea trials on April 1st, to the ship’s delivery to Southampton; from the maiden voyage to catastrophe; from the rescue to the opening days of the US Inquiry… all is retold in exhaustive detail.
The tweets are scheduled at appropriate times, with all times relative to GMT. Regardless of where you are in the world, the events happen at the correct time.
Supplementing the narrative are over 80 links to relevant books and explanatory websites, expanding on the main details, and provided at suitable epochs in the story.
