Wednesday 2nd June – Sirius Arts Centre – Randall “Big Daddy” Webster (USA) and special Guest Mark “Dingo” Russell (Australia) bring their ministry of Blues to Cobh – Wednesday June 2nd will be a special show at the Sirius Arts Center in Cobh featuring a full concert plus a session afterwards with participants in their workshops from earlier in the day

Sunday 6th June – South Of Ireland Piping & Drumming Contest – The first competion gets under way at 1.30 pm with a parade of bands at 5pm from the old town hall to the old GPO. Here there will be a salute to the Cheiftain of the day who is Sonia O’Sullivan this year. After the prize giving there will a massed band parade from the GPO to the front of the Heritage centre and this is a fantastic finale to a great day

Sunday 6th June – Corpus Christi Procession  – 12.00 Mass aboard L.E. Aoife alongside Deepwater Quay, (congregation to assemble on Port of Cork barge, all welcome. – Blessing of the boats ceremony, all type of craft welcome – Procession from Deep Water Quay to St. Colman’s Cathedral via Bishop’s Road

Sunday 6th June – 2.30pm – Tours of the Old Church Cemetery – On the first Sunday of every month from May to September 2010, Jack Gilmartin will give a free guided tour of the Old Church Cemetery, starting at 2.30pm and finishing at 4.30 pm. Meet at the lodge at the entrance to the cemetery. See the graves of the Lusitania victims, Napoleon’s surgeon, Hollywood Actors, Boxer Jack Doyle and Poet Charles Wolfe among many other historic figures in Irish life.

Sunday 6th June – Regatta Fundraiser – Decades brings you the fun of the 80’S while supporting the worthy cause of the Regatta – Commodore Hotel at 10.00pm

Friday 11th June – Cobh Pirates RFC Clubhouse – 8.00pm – The Pirates will hold their annual award night on Friday 11th June. Live music on the night from the “acclaimed”, Dirty Secret. Finger food and bar ext on the night. Show your support for the effort put in by the players for the successful season 2009/2010.

Tuesday 15th JuneCobh Pirates – Adult Tag Rugby Tournament – The adult tag rugby, now in its 2nd season, re-commences on Tues 15th June at 19.00. Same format as last year with teams of 10 players, 3 non rugby players, 3 ladies and 4 rugby players. €100 per team, the date for the finals is to be confirmed, with a brilliant evening being planned. Bbq and live music with multiple bands etc on the evening/night of the finals.

Friday 18th June – Quarry Cock Bar – Cobh Darts Team v Brannigans Cork – 8.00pm -A team selected from Cobh Darts will play against, Div 1 team from the city, Brannigans. They have a number of county players on their team so this should make for a great night of darts.

Sunday 20th June Fota Wildlife Park Carnivore Carnival -We have a big event lined up this coming Sunday which is also Fathers Day to create awareness of the European Carnivore Campaign. We have a feast of activities and free food courtesy of Denny so why not bring you teddy along and a have a picnic with us. It all kicks off at 11am and finishes at 6pm with Arts & Crafts, Talks, Face Painting, Free Sandwiches, Acrobats, Puppet Shows and a live broadcast from Cork’s 96fm.

Saturday 26th June -Cobh Darts are holding a Family day in the G.A.A hall from 2pm – 6pm on the Saturday 26th June. It is a FAMILY event for the members and families of Cobh Darts association. There will be more food than we can eat, pen bar bouncy castles, face painting and much much more on offer on the day.It is a way of Cobh Darts giving back to the community of players and their families after a long eventful and brilliant season.Cost: €10.00 per family ticket and €5 per single ticket.NOTE: Tickets need to be bought prior to the event in order to notify the caterer for the exact amount of food needed on the day. So PLEASE CONTACT YOUR DELEGATE OR A COMMITTEE MEMBER TO CONFIRM YOUR WILLINGNESS TO ATTEND ASAP !!!!. The tickets are only a nominal fee that will be recouped on the day via some gesture through children’s party bags, raffles etc.
