Carrignafoy Community College has received fantastic news in relation to the multi-million Euro proposed building works. The recent substantial increase in enrolment numbers is a main reason for this expansion and development.
The briefing plan will be available for viewing on the Open Night on 1st October and drawings of the proposals will be on display in the school.
The large extension and re-fit will include a multi storey block and a large sports and leisure facility which will include a PE hall, changing suites and hard courts.
The architecturally designed building will see many new general classrooms, in addition to specialist rooms, a Multi-media Design and Communication room; SEN suite, Science labs, Art, Home Economics and Engineering rooms. Students will be able to avail of a library, canteen facilities, social areas and a data and communications centre.
The College would like to acknowledge the support and assistance of the Department of Education and Skills and Cork Education and Training Board in advancing this building expansion.
