Cobh Tourism
Cobh Tourism – End of year message
The Board of Directors of Cobh Tourism wishes to thank everyone who supported us in our activities throughout the year and hopes for a prosperous 2019.
Tourism is vital to the future prosperity of Cobh and the support of the community of Cobh is vital if Tourism is to thrive.
Our voluntary Tourism Ambassadors and everyone who welcomes visitors to Cobh as part of their job or as they go about their daily lives can be justifiably proud. Our welcome, world class attractions and delightful historic town on the shore of Cork Harbour make Cobh a great place to visit.
There are a wealth of Festivals and Events organised in Cobh every year and each of these is another great reason for people to visit our wonderful town. Thank you to all of the clubs and organisations that work tirelessly to make these events happen.
Our own events regularly call on local musicians and dancers, the Cobh Branch O.N.E., St Colman’s Cathedral Carillonneur, the Commodore Choir, Cobh Confraternity Band, the local clergy, speakers who are happy to act as MC’s and the Animation teams of Cobh. They are always willing participants and we thank them for being so giving.
We thank Mike Bardsley of Cobh Edition for promoting our events and everything that is happening in Cobh. His help with our website www.visitcobh.com and the design and printing of our promotional material is very much appreciated.
Cobh Tourism operates on a small budget made up of member’s subscriptions, grants, fundraising and the commitment and hard work of our volunteer directors.
If you run a business in Cobh it is certain that at least some of your income is derived from Tourism. We would therefore encourage all businesses to be members of Cobh Tourism in 2019. Email cobhtourism@gmail.com for details.
