Could we say a huge thank you, on behalf of the Vietnam Jungle Marathon and the Rock for the Rainbow crew, for the wonderful support & encouragement we received on our fundraising journey, in aid of the Rainbow Club in Mahon.

With your help and support we are thrilled, to be able to present the Rainbow Club with a cheque, for €4,550.00, which will benefit children with Autism & their families, as well as raising awareness for such a wonderful charity.

For the Rock for the Rainbow Gig, could I thank the amazing bands that gave of their time & talent freely, Dr Dec and the Side effects, The Vipers Blues Band, The Deltas, Sway and Zozzimus.

Huge thanks to Brian O’Grady, for his passion, musicianship, and being the ‘glue’ that brought gig together. Well done Bri! It was a great nights rockin’ out, everybody seemed to have a fun evening!

Thanks also to Noreen, Mary & Nollaig for the work behind the scenes, family and friends (ye know who you are!)

To the organisers of the Jungle Marathon and the people of Vietnam, I met along the way, it was an amazing life experience. The event was tough, challenging, but the scenery, support and the people made it an amazing and humbling experience. Will definitely, go back for the Hanoi International Road Marathon next year, if I can stay injury free? But that’s for another day!

Finally thanks to Mary and the GICN team, for their support and help, with all the adventures I end up on, it wouldn’t be the same without ’em!

The Rainbow Club are on Facebook, please take a look at what Karen,Jon and their family of volunteers really do, in supporting children with Autism & their families – BE AMAZED!

Gotta run!
