The Cork North Garda Division, in association with its sponsor Supermac’s are holding an awards ceremony for young between the ages of 14 and 19 years. These awards will recognise the very positive contribution young people are making in their communities. The value of winning such an award cannot be underestimated.
Awards will be considered for nominated young people who, by their activities, make their communities a better place to live in, or who have shown great determination in their own lives.
Nominations will also be accepted for a group of young people such as a committee or sub committee, or any other group who meets the criteria.
Award winners will be notified by the 27th October 2017 and will be invited to attend an awards ceremony on the 23rd November 2017 at the Charleville Park Hotel.
If you would like to nominate any young person (s) for these awards please complete an application form which are available from Cobh Garda Station and return it to Garda Pat Hegarty Juvenile Liaison Officer Cobh Garda Station, Cobh, Co. Cork Before 12 noon on the 11/10/17
Rules of the competition
1. Awards are confined to young people who are not less than 14 years and not more than 19 years on December 31st 2017.
2. Nominees must reside within the Cork North Division ( comprising of the Districts Fermoy, Midleton, Mallow).
3. Community activities must have taken place in the area covered by Cork North Division.
4. These awards are to recognise achievements up to and including 2017.
5. Individuals or groups may be nominated.
6. The judge’s decision is final.
7. Anyone (including family members) may nominate a person or group whom they feel deserves an award.
