Congratulations to Stevie Girasole of Rushbrooke Rowing Club, who is the latest recipient of Cobh’s Young Sports Star of The Month as sponsored by Train with Trevor.
Stevie is part of the clubs U16 Boys Crew, the current Coastal Rowing Association Champions, who are having a very successful season so far, achieving a fantastic 3rd place in the County Finals that were held in Baltimore recently.
Hugely passionate about rowing, Stevie always gives his best during training sessions and races, while getting on very well with all of his rowing peers.
Stevie recently helped organise a cake sale in his school, raising funds to put towards subsidising the cost of the bus to the upcoming All-Ireland Coastal Rowing Finals being held in Ballyshannon, Co Donegal.
A true team player and always very obliging when down on the strand, Stevie is often seen jumping into the boots to help launch and steady the boats while in the water and also helping with maintenance of the boat trailers.
Pictured here receiving his award from Trevor while flanked by coach Marianne Allister O Sullivan and chairperson Ted Mc Sweeney, we wish Stevie and the entire Rushbrooke Rowing Club the very best for the remainder of the season.
All local sports clubs are invited to submit nominations for this award by emailing trevor@trainwithtrevor.ie
